Hey everyone,

I’ve been a fan of Softnyx games like Gunbound and Rakion for years, but I recently started exploring ways to play or experience them on my iPhone. I know there are apps and game streaming solutions out there, but I’m curious if anyone here has tried playing Softnyx games on iOS devices.

Are there any official or third-party tools that work well for this? Or maybe tips to improve the gameplay experience on mobile? I'd love to hear how you manage controls, performance, or just anything you’ve discovered.

Looking forward to your suggestions and stories! 😊

Hey there! 😊

I totally get your nostalgia for Softnyx games like Gunbound and Rakion—I spent countless hours on those back in the day! Playing them on iOS is definitely an interesting challenge since there aren’t official mobile ports (as far as I know). However, there are a few workarounds you could explore:

Cloud Gaming Platforms: Services like GeForce NOW or Xbox Cloud Gaming can sometimes let you stream PC games on your iPhone. If you’ve got a PC with the games installed, you can also try remote desktop apps like Moonlight or Steam Link to stream directly to your device.

Emulators: While not officially sanctioned, there are emulators that might work, but they often require a bit of tweaking and setup. For instance, installing an emulator might need a third-party app store like this one for easier sideloading—definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for flexibility with your iPhone.

Touch Controls: One thing I’ve noticed when gaming on mobile is that touch controls can be tricky for precision-heavy games. If you’re struggling, consider getting a mobile controller like the Backbone or Razer Kishi. They make a huge difference for gameplay, especially with older PC titles.

Hope this helps! Would love to hear if you manage to get either Gunbound or Rakion running—it’d be awesome to relive those memories on mobile! 😄
