I’ve been thinking about getting a taper fade haircut, but I’m not entirely sure about the differences between a taper and a fade. I’ve seen both styles being mentioned a lot, but I'm confused about the details.

How high or low should I go with the fade, and does the taper fade haircut work well for all hair types? I’ve got medium-length hair, so I’m wondering if it will suit my style. Any suggestions or tips would be greatly appreciated!
