If your QuickBooks payroll subscription is not working, it could be due to an expired subscription, outdated software, or connectivity issues. First, ensure your subscription is active by logging into your Intuit Account and checking your billing details.

Next, update QuickBooks to the latest version by going to Help > Update QuickBooks Desktop > Get Updates. Restart QuickBooks and try running payroll again. If you receive a verification error, go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Account/Billing Information and sign in to refresh your subscription status.

Firewall or antivirus settings may also interfere with payroll services. Temporarily disable security software and retry. If issues persist, contact QuickBooks Support at 1-833-742-9500 for expert assistance with troubleshooting, reactivation, and subscription verification.

To avoid disruptions, regularly check your subscription status and ensure your payment details are up to date.
